EVE SKILLS – Hands-on Courses

Terms of Participation
EVE SKILLS – Hands-on Courses

Organiser: EVE Ernst Vetter GmbH, Neureutstr. 6, 75210 Keltern, Germany
Version: 3 November 2026

1. Scope

These terms apply to all bookings of our courses made through our online shop. The courses can be booked by both entrepreneurs (Section 14 German Civil Code) and consumers (Section 13 German Civil Code). Deviating terms of the participant do not apply. Deviations, oral promises and side agreements are only valid if we confirm them in writing. Course bookings are governed exclusively by these terms of participation. Our General Terms of Delivery do not apply.

2. Conclusion of contract

Your booking in the online shop is an offer to us. The contract is concluded when we have received your payment and confirmed the booking by email. Places are limited to 20 participants per course and are allocated in the order of booking. These terms are shown to you during the booking process and can be saved there.

3. Price and payment

The participation fee per participant is stated in the shop for each course. It is plus statutory VAT. Whether and at what rate VAT is charged depends on the statutory provisions and on the information you provide during the booking process (e.g. VAT ID number). You will see the total amount before completing the booking.

The invoice will be sent to you separately by email. Payment is made by bank transfer or PayPal within 14 days of receipt of the payment request. If payment is not received on time, no contract is concluded. According to the course description, the price includes the course, course materials and catering on site. Travel and accommodation are not included. Detailed information on the course schedule will be sent to you by email no later than one week before the course starts.

4. Right of withdrawal for consumers

Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal. Entrepreneurs do not.

Withdrawal instructions

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day the contract is concluded.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (EVE Ernst Vetter GmbH, Neureutstr. 6, 75210 Keltern, Germany; email: courses@eve-rotary.com) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by a clear statement, e.g. by email. A simple email to courses@eve-rotary.com is sufficient. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which we receive your notification of withdrawal. We will use the same means of payment that you used for the booking.

If you have requested that the course begin during the withdrawal period, you must pay us a reasonable amount corresponding to the proportion of the services already provided up to the time of withdrawal.

5. Cancellation after the withdrawal period

Cancellations must be made in text form (email) to courses@eve-rotary.com.

  • Cancellation is free of charge up to one month before the course starts. Amounts already paid will be refunded.
  • After that, up to one week before the course starts, 50 % of the participation fee is payable.
  • For cancellations less than one week before the course starts, 100 % of the participation fee is payable.
  • In case of non-attendance, the full participation fee is payable.
  • The participant may prove that we have suffered lower damage.
  • A substitute participant can be named at any time free of charge.

6. Cancellation or changes by EVE

We may replace announced trainers with others and make necessary changes to the course programme or venue, provided this does not materially change the overall character of the course.

We may cancel or postpone a course if it cannot be held for an important reason, e.g. illness of the trainer, disruptions at the venue, insufficient number of participants or force majeure. We will inform you without delay; please provide current contact details for this purpose. A cancellation due to insufficient participation will be made no later than 14 days before the course starts; cancellations for the other reasons may be made at shorter notice. We will refund amounts already paid in full or offer an alternative date. There is no right to a repeat of the course. No further claims exist, in particular for travel and accommodation costs or loss of earnings, except in cases of intent or gross negligence.

7. Liability

We are fully liable for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body or health. In cases of slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to foreseeable, typical damage. Liability under the Product Liability Act remains unaffected. We accept no liability for items brought to the course.

Course content and materials serve professional training. We are liable for their topicality, accuracy and completeness only within the scope of this section.

8. Course materials

Course materials and content are protected by copyright and intended only for the participant’s own use. Passing them on or copying them is not permitted without our consent.

9. Data protection

The controller is EVE Ernst Vetter GmbH, Neureutstr. 6, 75210 Keltern, Germany, email: courses@eve-rotary.com. We process your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation to carry out pre-contractual measures and to perform the contract, i.e. to plan, run and bill the course (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Without this data, participation is not possible.

We store your data only as long as necessary for these purposes or as long as statutory retention obligations apply. Data is passed on only where required by law or necessary to perform the contract, e.g. to the trainer, to payment service providers and to the provider of our ticketing system.

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21), and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Further information can be found in our privacy policy.

10. Final provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not remove mandatory consumer protection provisions of the state in which the consumer has their habitual residence. Towards entrepreneurs, the place of jurisdiction is, where permitted, the organiser’s registered office. If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain valid. The statutory provision replaces the invalid provision.
